Bought 2 of these to try as a solution to keep the bees and wasps from emptying my other ones. they work great, are easy to clean and teh birds love them. Will wait til next year when they return, may buy a couple more.
Very easy to assemble and fill. The bright color attracted hummingbirds the first day I hung it up. It's easy to clean and refill. The feeder juice is sold separately. Sturdy design that stands up well to the elements.
I didn't realize this was plastic and thought it was made of glass. That being said, it does not feel like a cheap plastic at all and certainly looks like glass until you touch it! Humming birds are happy!
This was really easy to put together and holds a good amount of sugar water. I like how there is a little “roof” that gives a little shade to the water and birds. It even comes with its own ant moat! I do wish there was a more convenient way to attach the wire to the ant moat. Usually there are just hooks. Other than that I would buy again!
I have 2 other types of Birdream hummingbird feeders that work very well for me and the hummers. This particular feeders has a unique look unlike the typical cylindrical or spherical feeders. All plastic construction so hanging in the sun during 90-100 degree days will not heat up the nectar like glass feeders do. The included ant moat (small) is a nice touch as it matches the look/color of this feeder nicely. Instructions should state that the flowers need to be pushed into the holes very hard so that they "snap" into place. If you don't push the flowers in all the way and feel a click, they will pop out eventually.
This type of Birdream feeder allows me to fill just the bottom reservoir about 3/4 full. The instructions show to fill the upper portion while upside down, and then screw on the bottom piece with the flowers. If I fill this type of feeder in that manner, I find that I waste a lot of sugar water due to spoilage. And warblers are able to drink the solution since there is always excess in the flower ports. They also keep the hummers away. So I prefer to fill just the bottom reservoir.
